Sandra Pritchett
November 30, 1945 - November 2, 2024

Sandra Kay Pritchett, born on November 30, 1945, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Terry and Jessie Mae (Welch) Standingwater. Surrounded by her devoted family, she passed away peacefully at her home in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, on November 2, 2024, at the age of 78 years, 11 months, and 3 days, leaving behind a legacy of love, artistry, and dedication.

Sandra attended Smith Chapel, Little Rock Schools, and later Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah. She pursued cosmetology training in Pryor, Oklahoma, and California, developing skills she carried throughout her life. On November 1, 1968, Sandra married the love of her life, Tony Paul Pritchett, in Salina, Oklahoma. Together, they recently celebrated 56 years and 1 day of marriage.

During her time in California, Sandra worked as an apartment complex manager. Upon returning to Oklahoma, she dedicated herself to homemaking and caring for her family, which was always her top priority. Sandra and Tony attended the All Nations Church in Salina, cherishing the fellowship and spiritual guidance it brought to their lives.

Sandra was an incredibly gifted crafter, expressing her talents through knitting, crocheting, and quilting. Her handcrafted doll dresses, intricate pine needle bowls, and paintings brought joy to family and friends. She treasured the time spent quilting alongside her sisters, piecing together both fabric and memories. Singing was another passion, something she enjoyed doing with her family at numerous gatherings and church functions.

An excellent cook and gardener, Sandra delighted in providing delicious meals and growing beautiful flowers. Known for her impeccable style, Sandra always presented herself with grace, her hair, clothing, and makeup done to perfection, no matter the time of day. Sandra's warmth, kindness, and creative spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her love for her family and friends was boundless, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sandra is survived by: her husband: Tony of the home; 1 son: Steve Pritchett of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; 2 Grandchildren: Chase Allen Pritchett of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Brittany Michelle (Pritchett) Wheeler and husband Bill of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 1 great granddaughter: Addasyn Mae Wheeler of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 2 brothers: Terry M. Standingwater of Big Cabin, Oklahoma and Tommy James Standingwater and wife Rhoda of Adair, Oklahoma; 4 sisters: Brenda Smith of Little Kansas, Oklahoma, Linda Gardner of Salina, Oklahoma, Mary Young and husband Hi of Salina, Oklahoma, and Cynthia “Kippie” Vaughn of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother: David J. Standingwater; her sisters, Shirley Jean Billey and Teresa Gay Standingwater; and her nephews, Frankie Taylor, Sammy Little, Aaron Standingwater, William David Soldier, and Kevin Dion Backwater.

Graveside services to honor Sandra's life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the Little Rock Indian Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, with Pastor George Littledave and Pastor Brian Soldier officiating.
