May 1, 1952 - March 23, 2025
Jon Patrick Adams, 72-year-old Claremore resident, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2024, in Claremore surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 1, 1952, in Pryor to Ralph Calvin Adams and Berniece (Snell) Adams. Jon was a 1970 graduate of Claremore High School and received his bachelor's degree from Northeastern State in Tahlequah. He bravely served his country in the United States Army and in the Vietnam War; he was honorably discharged in August of 1975 at the rank of Sergeant. Jon worked as a long time Plant Manager at HE&M Saw and finished his career at Citadel. Jon's biggest passion in life was his kids and grands and watching them compete in sports throughout the years. He took the opportunity to brag on them any chance he got. Jon was an avid sports fan and loved his time coaching youth baseball, watching every OU softball and football game, and watching horse racing. He spent his later years volunteering at the Claremore Veterans Center to give back to his fellow soldiers. Jon had a deep love for his dogs Sophie, Casper, & Jett treating them like children, talking history with his grandkids, and having breakfast and coffee weekly with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family includes his son, Michael Adams of Claremore, a daughter, Michelle Eaton and husband Aaron of Claremore, a brother, Steve Adams and wife Linda of Topeka, Kansas, a sister, Judy Livengood and husband Tunney of Tulsa, his grandchildren, Noah, Breanna, Ethan, Rachel, Tyson, Faith, Trenton, Kloe, and one great-grandchild Oaklynn, numerous other relatives and many friends.
