Sergeant Kenneth Earl
"Kenny" Walker He grew up in Madill and was very athletic, playing football,
winning track medals, and a golden glove boxer. He was pictured in
the Daily Oklahoman winning a match in Oklahoma City. He had a great
smile and a quick wit. While fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 2, 1950 ,
he
was
listed as Missing in Action .
He
was presumed dead on December 31, 1953.
His
remains were identified in November 2019 and he was laid to rest
on Oct. 24, 2020, at Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill..

Kenneth Earl Walker was born December 29, 1930 in Marshall Oklahoma to
T. C.
Walker
and Ottis V. (Fults) Walker and was reported
Missing
in Action December 2, 1950 Chosin Reservoir, North Korea at the age of
19.
In Madill, Kenneth was missed and mourned by his parents, T. C. Walker
and Ottis V. (Fults) Walker;
Grandparents
Charles and Annie (Eoff) Walker, Sister Zora Walker Randall; Brothers
Lloyd O. “Jack” Walker, Gene Walker, T. C. Walker Jr., Tommy Walker and
their families.
Sgt. Walker was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry
Regiment, 7th Infantry Division.
He
was also a good soldier because in just two years he earned the
following medals before he was twenty years old:
Purple
Heart, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal,
Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, Presidential
Unit Citation with one Gold Star-Navy, Combat Infantry Badge (the
most respected award by fellow service men and women), United Nation
Service Medal, Republic of Korea-Korean War Service Medal, and
Republic of Korea-Presidential Unit Citation.
His surviving nieces and nephews and their families are honored to witness his return to Madill, Ok. Jack’s children Deborah Walker Myatt and Michael Walker, Zora’s son Richard Randall, Gene’s children Kenneth Walker, Suzanne Walker Farrell, Doug Walker, Steven Walker, T. C.’s children Terri Walker Ford and Gary Walker, Tommy’s son Raymond Walker.
