Patricia “Pat”
Mae Kemp, 78, of Madill, Oklahoma passed
away on February 2, 2023, at her home in
Madill.
She was born November 5, 1944, in
Tennessee, Illinois to the late Virgil Lemley and Dorothy Louise Beck Lemley. Pat
was raised in Carthage, Illinois. She
married Roy Eugene Kemp on June 21, 1962, in
Hamilton, Illinois. Pat later lived in
Wellington, Texas before moving to Madill in
1981 where she lived the past 31 years. She
worked as a Paraprofessional for the Madill
Public School, working with special needs
kids that she loved. Pat also enjoyed doing
word search puzzles, camping, and cooking.
Pat is survived by husband Roy Kemp, Madill, Oklahoma; Children: Brian Kemp and wife Rebecca, Childress, Texas, Darrell Kemp and wife Shannon, Madill, Oklahoma, and Rhonda Butler and husband Andy, Madill, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Krista Lynn Hoener and husband Darin, Bryan Edward Kemp and wife Rachael, Kollin Kemp and wife Carle, Greg Butler and wife Courtney, Andrea Wallace and husband Nick, Mark Butler and wife Alyssa, Kyle Butler, Shambrie Kemp and Juaquin, RaShae Grewing and husband Kevin, Kassy Kemp and fiancé Justin, Desirae Kemp and Dylan, Kaden Kemp, Dalton Yeats, Becky Ernest and husband Mark, Carlos Sanchez and wife Gabby, Refugio Sanchez. Great Grandchildren: Amber, Tucker, Allie and Cody Hoener, Brantley, Bree and Boone Kemp, Brylnn, Presley and Stetson Kemp, Dannie, Bransen and Bradie Butler, Andie, Hallie, Charlotte and Meredith Wallace, T. J. Farris, Amara, Brikayla, and Braylynn Ramirez, Zander and Hadleigh Grewing, Kamree, Jana and Westin Ernest. Brothers: Bob Lemley and wife Peggy, Carthage, Illinois and Larry Lemley and wife Carol, Carthage, Illinois. Sister: Sandra Martin and husband Larry, Plymouth, Illinois.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, baby daughter, brothers; Jerry and Gene, sister; Sharon.
