Funeral Services for Devine Don Fernandez Johnson, 25, will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. at the First Baptist Church in Madill, Oklahoma with Brother Jesse Pacheco officiating, assisted by Brother Randy Wade. Interment will follow in the Woodberry Forest Cemetery. Devine left to be in the arms of our Lord on May 15, 2016 in Plano, Texas.
Devine was to everybody exactly what they needed; which meant something different to each person. He began as a son, born on April 15, 1991 to his loving parents, Tamra Spells and Santiago Fernandez. In his early youth, he was a friend, athlete, and an example. Devine was a graduate of Kingston High School. He was passionate about his family and enjoyed traveling with his friends and spending time with those he loved. His enthusiasm for life touched so many and he will always be remembered for his infectious smile and his loving and caring personality. We bid you goodbye, dear Devine; our son, brother, uncle and friend, now in transit to a new life. We miss your love of life, your generosity and your laughter. We know that you continue to spread your joy from above. We will always love you.
Devine is survived by his mother, Tamra Spells; his father, Santiago Fernandez; grandfather, Santiago Fernandez, Sr.; great-grandfather, Luis Martinez; siblings, Brandi Johnson and husband Ryan Andrews, Latasha Silverhorn and husband Josh, Jayton Johnson, Zully Fernandez, Ahtsiri Fernandez, Scarlett Fernandez, and Aaron Spells; uncles, Larry Morris and wife Crystal, Joe Morris, Melinda (Womack) Caldwell, Tommy Morris, Joe Cardenas and wife Tonda Green, Gabriel Fernandez and wife Tila; nephews, Perry Murphy, Brylan Andrews, and Pearson Silverhorn; niece, Sydney Silverhorn; step-parents, Jerry Johnson and wife Suzanne.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Lauvo Alanis; grandmothers, Bonnie Morris, Dorothy Samis Morris and Maria (Cuca) Fernandez; brother, Brett Spells and uncle, Jerry Womack.
