David Worth Barker, 74, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill.
He was born on April 2, 1948, in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late William “Jack” Worth Barker and Helen Rose Absher Barker. David was raised in Ashe County where he married Clarasa Ann Dillard on July 10, 1966. While living in Ashe County he worked as a Superintendent in the Aggregate Mining Industry. In 1988 he moved to Ardmore where he lived until 2012 when he moved to Madill. David was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madill. He enjoyed going fishing, being on the water, collecting rocks, coins, guns, knives and also raising Beagles for field trails.
David is survived by Wife Clarasa Barker, Madill, Oklahoma. Children Chene Cox, and husband Ronnie, West Jefferson, North Carolina; Travis Barker and wife Darschell, Madill, Oklahoma; Gene Barker and wife Melody, Pottsboro, Texas; Candie Ponczka and husband Tim, Mount Ulla, North Carolina; David Barker II and wife Danielle, Holdenville, Oklahoma. 14 Grandchildren Amanda and husband Jimmy, Tiffany, Greyson, Cade, Cole, Casey Jack, Boone, Luke, Laynie, Gideon, Ruth, Amos, Jonah, and Priscilla. 6 Great Grandchildren Dominic, Brock, Kaydence, Donovan, DayDrian and Vanessa.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 daughter, Christian Ann Clemens.
Casket Bearers Travis Barker, Gene Barker, David Barker II, Tim Ponczka, Cade Barker, Cole Barker, Luke Ponczka.
