Gary Lynn Ayres, 71, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, March 30,
2024, at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill.
He was born on July 4, 1952, in Madill to the late Donald Gene Ayres Sr. and Jewel Maxine Ketchum Ayres. Gary was a lifelong resident of Madill. He attended Madill schools and graduated in 1970 and later attended the Southern Oklahoma Area Vocational Technical Center. He married Paula Maxey on March 10, 1978, in Madill. Gary was very active in the community, serving in the Lions Club, Rotary Club, and the Hauani Creek Fire Department. He worked for Madill Bank & Trust, Pierce Trucking and Jackie Bean Dozer Service. He currently owns and operates Gary Ayres Oil and Gas Minerals. Gary was a man with many friends, he knew everyone and sent flowers to every family that came through the funeral home. He enjoyed riding the ranger, being the neighborhood watchdog, but his greatest love was being a Poppy.

Grandchildren: Max Allen, Cooper Allen, Gary Colt Ayres, Addison Ayres, JD Aldridge,
Shyann Manifold and husband Tyler, Kyndal Jones, Whitney Aleksic,
Harlee Sanchez and husband Sonny
Great Grandchild: Andersyn Sanchez
Siblings: Donnie Ayres and wife Mary, Madill, Oklahoma
Mary Ann Taylor and husband Ronnie, Ada, Oklahoma
Several nieces, nephews and cousins
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, son; Gary Don Ayres (son of Gary and Letha Huffman) and sister; Emily Ayres.
