Paula Jane Powell Page, 65,
of Lebanon passed away on
Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at
the hospital in Denison,
Texas. She was born on Aug.
22, 1943, in Durant to the
late Ernest Franklin Powell
and Blanche Arline
Cottingame Powell. Paula
grew up in Durant where she
graduated from Durant High
School in 1961 and later
received her Bachelor’s in
Education from Southeastern
Oklahoma State University in
Durant. She married Ralph
Wayne Page on Nov. 25, 1971,
in Las Vegas. Paula taught
school in Kingston for two
years then she worked for
the Department of Human
Services in Madill for 28
years. She loved to garden,
fish, can vegetables and
watch movies.
Paula was preceded in death
by her parents.
She is survived by her
husband; sons Craig Roberts
and wife Anita, Kingston,
and Chad Page, Elk City;
grandson Christopher Page
and wife Jennifer, Lebanon;
granddaughters Tori Roberts,
Kingston, Lindsey Page,
Alma, Ark., and Haley Riley,
Ironton, Ohio; brother James
Powell and friend Annette
Fletcher of Gladewater,
Texas, and several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services were
Monday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m.
at the Watts Memorial Chapel
in Madill. Roy Ed Vinson
officiated the services.
Interment was at the Powell
Cemetery in Powell.
The pallbearers were Wendyl
Parrish, Shelby Dodd, Larry
(Haircut) Lee, Dick Kiser,
Lee Scott and Wayne Scott.
The honorary pallbearers
were Levoice Hargis, Jimmy
Raby, Jack Campbell, Kent
Hallmark, W.L. Moore and
Gene Burton.
Services under the direction
of Watts Funeral Home in
Madill. Condolences may be
