She was born February 27, 1929, in Duncan,
OK, to the late James and Vada Lynn. A long-time member of
Alameda Church of Christ, Jimmie was very involved with the
Church and served in many roles including the Campus Outreach
Center. She lived to serve the Lord and was a loving caretaker
of her family and friends. Jimmie enjoyed making scrapbooks
filled with memories of the times spent with family and
friends. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be
deeply missed.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Joseph W Young; two
sons, Keith Williamson and wife Vickie, and Mark Williamson; six
grandchildren, Jeff Jensen, Rachel Williamson, Keeli Summers and
husband Tyler, Christy Crawford and husband Derek, Keli Pressley
and husband Michael, and Connie Wilson; fifteen great
grandchildren; two nephews, Warren McGill and wife Marion, and
Henry Ross; and her Church family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma McGill; and niece, Sharon Ross.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Alameda Church of Christ in Norman.
Interment will
follow at 3:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, OK.
