Dorothy “Dot” Nell Richardson, 83, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at her home in Madill.

She was born on March 1, 1940, in Conehatta, Mississippi to the late Melton William Tatum and Ava Mae Hamilton Tatum.  Dot was raised in Mississippi and attended college in Louisiana.  She married Leon Richardson on July 21, 1984, in Kingston, Oklahoma.  They lived at Catfish Bay Homesites before moving to Madill where she lived for the past 26 years.  Dot attended the Enville Community Church every Sunday and she loved to garden and work in the yard.  She loved to write and sing country music and fish anytime she could.   

 
She is survived by Husband: Leon Richardson, Madill, Oklahoma; Children: Kent Richardson and wife Majorie, Kingston, Oklahoma; Deonna Cluck and husband Rick, Fort Worth, Texas; Grandchildren: Brett Richardson and wife Samira; Kaci Cluck and husband Matt; Michael Gibson. Great Grandchildren: Braiden Richardson, Alexis Cluck, Kamden Richardson, Brianna Rodriguez; Nephews: Carl Joiner, Highlands, Texas; Steve Joiner and wife Deborah, Little Elm, Texas; Christopher Freeman, Vicksburg, Mississippi; 
Nieces: Wilma Donald and wife Cecil, Carthage, Mississippi; Kelly Freeman, Jackson, Mississippi
 
Dot was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Bernice Henderson and Carolyn Freeman. 
 
Memorials may be made to the Enville Community Church, 2901 St. HWY 32, Marietta, Ok 73448
