Interment will follow
in the Oakland Cemetery in Madill, Oklahoma. Ms. Buckholts passed away
on Friday, April 2nd, at the Hillcrest Care Center in Tishomingo.
Eileen was born on August 25, 1919 in Madill to Edward Earl Buckholts
and Lucy Mary Willard Buckholts. She attended school in Madill and later
in Atoka and graduated from Atoka High School in 1939. She married Donal
Murk of Milburn and together they had one daughter, Delores Murk Walker.
In her early years, she worked in the North Island Naval Yard in San
Diego, California. In the early 1970’s she and her family moved to
Tahlequah, Oklahoma where she purchased and operated a beauty shop for
the next 30 years. Eileen moved to Tishomingo in 2002 and was currently
living at the Hillcrest Care Center.
She was preceded in death by: her parents.
Ms. Buckholts is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Delores & Wayne
Walker of Tishomingo; her granddaughter, Donna Powell & husband Jamie,
her grandson, Danny Walker & wife Tina, all of Tishomingo; three
great-grandsons, Mitchell Powell & wife Jennifer, Brysen Powell and
Bryan Walker, all of Tishomingo; her great-granddaughter, Brittany
Walker of Tishomingo; two great-great-granddaughters, Keilee Walker and
Olivia Powell. Also, her very close friend, Donna Cooper and her son
Mitchell of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Jamie Powell, Danny Walker,
Mitchell Powell, Brysen Powell, Bryan Walker and Daniel Maxey.
