Services for Dorislene Mose Morgan, 66, were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 29 at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center of Ardmore with Reverend Vincent Baptiste officiating. Interment followed in the McMillan Cemetery.
Born September 30, 1952 at Ardmore, the daughter of Dorsey and Anita Palmer Mose, she died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Ada.
Dorislene attended Lebanon Schools and later Madill Schools, graduating in the Class of 1970. She earned an associate’s degree from Murray State College. She continued her education at Okmulgee Tech in Culinary Arts. While attending, she represented the school in a beauty pageant and won. Following her time in school, Dorislene worked at the Little Brownie Cookie Factory. In 1992, she went to work for the Chickasaw Nation and was employed there for over 26 years. In her youth, she loved playing softball and later in life she supported her children and grandchildren in the sport. Dorislene was a believer in the Bible and a true Christian. She enjoyed attending Chihowa Baptist Church. She loved to lift her voice to the Lord and travel anywhere she could to attend church singings. She will be remembered for her joyful personality and big heart; she always had a smile for friends and strangers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Eugene Mose.
Survivors include her sons, Kenny Morgan and wife Victoria of Ada and Todd Morgan of Ardmore; daughter, Kristi Morgan of Ardmore; 10 grandchildren, Jason Morgan, Josie Morgan, Elias Morgan and Everley Hamilton-Morgan, all of Ada, Marc Sampson, Samara Morgan, Tyicee Nguyen, Tames Nguyen and Kaine Nguyen, all of Ardmore, and Isaac Jennings of Broken Arrow; brothers, James Mose and wife Roberta of Madill and Don Mose of Lone Grove; sisters, Shirley Mose of Edmond and Christine Lewis of Lone Grove; and aunts, Lina Pickens of McMillan and Sallie Palmer of Ardmore.
Serving as pallbearers were Shannon Mose, Coby Lewis, Leslie Mose, Chad Lewis, Ethan Martinez, and Pedro Molina. Honorary bearers were the members of the Re-entry Program.
Wake services were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 28 at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center of Ardmore.
