Born November 29, 1953 at Wilson, the son of Dolph Eugene “Brown” Hagood Jr. and Melba Letha Furrh Hagood, he died Monday, June 7, 2021 at his residence. Randy was raised in Lebanon and attended Madill Public School, graduating in 1971.
He married Martha Ann Rushing on August 14, 1971 in Whitesboro, Texas. She preceded him in death on April 25, 2021.
Randy worked for Marshall County District 1, Woody Motor Company, sold equipment for Johnson Equipment, worked construction on Highway 82, and always worked on the farm and ranch. He was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church and enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, riding horses, taking care of cattle, traveling and old cars.
In addition to his wife, Randy was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randall; daughter, Amy Hagood; brother, Ronnie Hagood; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Muncrief.
Survivors include a son, Ryan Keith Hagood of Lebanon; sisters, Kay Muncrief of Madill and Barbara Ruzicho of Powell, Ohio; sister-in-law, Karoleen Hagood of Lebanon; mother-in-law, Leon Rushing of Lebanon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dwain Scott, Alan Parrish, Walter Bruce Biggers, Eddie Grant, Daniel Nixon, and Wayne Seay. Honorary bearers will be the members of the REA Board of Directors.
