Ronnie Gay was born on October 14, 1940 to Clint and Inez (Copeland) Gay. He married Ann Gay on December 15, 1989.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Logan Bullock, grandniece Cara Maye.
He is survived by his wife of the home, 2 sons and their
wives, 3 step-daughters and their husbands, his sister and husband of Haworth,
Oklahoma, an aunt in Ringling, Oklahoma, special brotherly friend Laurence,
along with 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and
nephews, cousins and wonderful friends that grew to love Ron Ron and Mama Ann as
they camped North, South, East and West with them through the years. Blue River
and Lake City, Colorado were their two homes away from home that they both
loved.
Ronnie wasn't happy if he and Ann weren't sitting around a campfire telling tall
tales. He loved his dog, Millie, and had such a tender heart that he couldn't
watch the PETA or ASPCA commercials.
He spent 33 years as a gas operator and 23 years service with the Army as a
Military Police and Army Reserves. After his stint in the army Ronnie came back
to Marietta to become a deputy with the Love County Sheriff's Department. He was
a life long member of the NRA.
A memorial service was held at Brown's Chapel at Madill, Oklahoma on Saturday,
July 25, 2015.
