Betty Ann (Baker) Christy was born on July 26, 1955, in Lampasas, Texas to parents, Gail Arthur and Darlene (Blackwell) Baker Sr. Betty entered the Gates of Heaven on March 23, 2025, at her home in Kingston, Oklahoma at the age of 69. Betty married Ben Christy on July 22, 2003, in Las Vegas, NV and they have been united as one for 21 plus years. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved everyone, especially her grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents Gail Sr. and Darlene Baker; Jerry Baker, David Baker, Robert Baker, Martha Neves, Linda Couch, Earlleen Gaddis, and Greg Christy.
Loved ones left behind to continue Betty's legacy are her husband Ben Christy of the home; sons Loyd Gaddis and wife Liz Boman of Kansas City, MO, Steve Gaddis and wife Jodi of Kingston, OK, and Phil Christy of Beaumont, TX; brothers Fred Baker of Clayton, OK, Tommy Baker of Kingston, OK, Gail Baker Jr. of Amarillo, TX, and Danny Baker of Slaton, TX; sister Mary Groeber of Duncan, OK; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services to honor Betty Christy will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Service. Vernon Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in Kingston Cemetery with Tommy Baker, Danny Baker, Loyd Gaddis, Steve Gaddis, Derek Gaddis, and Bryson Magee serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
