Graveside services for Robert Eugene "Shorty" Koehn, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the West New Hopedale Cemetery north of Ringwood with Rev. Drew Kirtley officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Robert Eugene "Shorty" Koehn, son of the late Paul Emil and Marie Anna (Kahn) Koehn, was born October 26, 1938, in Meno, Oklahoma, and passed away January 19, 2021, in Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 23 days.

Shorty attended school in Riverside and Ringwood before graduating from Enid High School with the Class of 1957. On August 2, 1958, he was united in marriage to Lorene Adell Wilcox in Enid. He lived in Enid, Kremlin, Jet, and Ringwood where he worked as a machinist at Koering Speedstar and Shaklee Machine Shop. He moved to Alva four years ago to the Share Convalescent Home.

He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Enid. He enjoyed fishing. He loved going to junk yards to repurpose anything he could find. He built two garden tractors from scratch. He also had a huge garden to help feed his family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene; one daughter, Cynthia White; one brother, Bill Koehn; one sister-in-law, Patty Koehn; and one brother-in-law, Leo Unruh.

Shorty is survived by four sons, Jeffery Koehn and wife Sandra (of Alva), Patrick Koehn and wife Dee (of Warr Acres), Frederick Koehn and wife Shelly (of Anthony, Kansas), and Matthew Koehn and wife Shannon (of Broken Arrow); one brother, Richard Koehn of Meno, and two sisters, Gertie Unruh (of Newcastle) and Linda Koehn and husband Kenny (of Enid); one sister-in-law, Elsie Koehn (of Oklahoma City); 10 grandchildren, Jon White, Jaisha, Jordan, Cody, Cassidy, Casey, Gage, Jenna, Kaitlyn, and Madeline Koehn; one great-grandchild, Taylynn Shepard Koehn; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Share Convalescent Home Activity Fund or the Senior Citizen Center (MARC).
