Funeral Services for: Carol Anne (Robbins) Nightengale, 75, of Cleo Springs, will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ronnie Hopkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Square Cedar Cemetery north of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Carol Anne (Robbins) Nightengale was born April 16, 1933 in Minot, North Dakota to Charles Albert and Lillian Geneva (Greeley) Robbins and passed away on November 23, 2008 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center in Fairview, Oklahoma due to complications from diabetes.
Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2008 and prior to the service at Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Carol married John Nightengale on February 19, 1950 in Isabella, Oklahoma. The couple spent a large portion of their married life on the road following John's occupation in the construction field. They celebrated 58 years of marriage. Carol loved accordion music, cats, cooking and eating, jewelry, having her nails done, and her North Dakota memories. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, John Nightengale of Cleo Springs; daughter Laurel "Lolly" Rich and husband Richard of Cleo Springs; sons John Nightengale Jr. of Clinton, Oklahoma, Kelly Nightengale and wife Laurie of Cleo Springs, Leslie Nightengale and wife Sue of Aline, Oklahoma, Wayne Nightengale and wife Nancy of Carrollton, Illinois; brother David Robbins and wife Pamela of Henefer, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles; one sister, Grace Mary Denton and one daughter, Sandra Ruth Robinson and one granddaughter, Kelly Sue.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Diabetes Association with Fairview Funeral Home Inc. acting as custodian.

A graveside service for John J. Nightengale, 79, of Cleo Springs, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, in Square Cedar Cemetery, north of Cleo Springs. George Curtis will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. Viewing will be 1-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 11, 1930, in Okeene to John J. and Eva Wedel Nightengale and died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, in Enid.
He married Carol Anne Robbins Feb. 19, 1950, in Isabella. She died in November 2008.
He was a heavy equipment operator for nearly 60 years and moved across the central and western United States. His projects included missile silos, dams, mines, pipelines and rebuilding of highways. He retired in 2002.
He was a member of the Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are one daughter, Laurel "Lolly" Rich of Cleo Springs; four sons, Johnny Nightengale of Clinton, Kelly Nightengale and Wayne Nightengale, both of Cleo Springs, and Leslie Nightengale of Aline; four brothers, Paul Nightengale and Roger Nightengale, both of Ringwood, Floyd Nightengale of Fairview and Andrew "A.J." Nightengale of Enid; five sisters, Vivian Schmidt and Lauretta Koehn, both of Fairview, Waunita Koehn of Okeene, Shirlene Koehn of Mayfield, Ky., and Jewel Wedel of Ringwood; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Carol Anne, he was preceded in death by one daughter, one granddaughter, two sisters and five infant siblings.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, cancer division.
