Rusk Cemetery


Fairview – Services for Mildred Mary Huston, 88, will be at 2 PM Monday at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Glen Kyyler officiating.

Burial will be Rusk Cemetery, Fairview.

She died Friday at the Fairview hospital.

Born October 3, 1891, in Urbana, Kansas, she came to Oklahoma with her family in 1894 to a farm east of Fairview.

She moved to Enid in 1942 and lived there until moving to Isabella two weeks ago.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, Rebekah's and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She attended school at Elm Grove and at Fairview, was a graduate of Enid Business College and taught school at Isabella, Elm Grove and Peerless.

She was a teller at the Fairview State Bank, a Secretary in Washington during World War I and worked in a drygoods store in Fairview.

She was office nurse and bookkeeper for an Enid doctor, retiring in 1957.

Survivors include one brother, Asa A. Huston, Stockton, California; one sister, Cassia A. Reames, Enid; and two sisters – in – law.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.
