Irene McGonagle Stiles, 84, died Tuesday April 6,1981 in a Fairview Oklahoma Hospital. Funeral services were Friday April 10, in the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nick Harris officiating. Burial was in Roscoe Cemetery near Fairview.
She was born February 7, 1897 at Monroeville Indiana to William and Lucy McGonagle . They moved to Fairview when she was a child. She married Vircho Stiles on July 30, 1917 in Major County. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1957.
Irene was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a Gold Star Mother.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Walter (Maxine) Wilmott of Fairview Oklahoma, Mrs. Delbert (Nina) Gensler of Midwest City Oklahoma and Shirley Warner of Fairview, Oklahoma; two sisters Mrs. Edward (Margaurite) Ruhl of Sunland California and Mrs. Joe (Edna) Hamilton of Englewood California; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons: James Lee who was killed in a fox hole in New Guinea in 1942 and Roy Edgar in 1936; two grandchildren , four brothers and two sisters.

Vircho Stiles, age 65, died at his home near Fairview Oklahoma on August 3, 1957. Services were held in the First Methodist Church at 3 pm August 6, 1957 with Rev. J.C. Curry officiating. Burial was in Roscoe Cemtery under the direction of Speece Funeral Home of Fairview, Oklahoma.
Vircho was the son of Simon Edgar Stiles and Cyrena Hamilton Stiles and was born June 26, 1895 at Fairview Oklahoma. Vircho was a native of Major County. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stiles homesteaded a farm one half mile east of Roscoe School.
He married Irene McGonagle on July 31, 1917 and to this union was born five children: Mrs. Walter (Maxine) Wilmott of Fairview, Mrs. Delbert (Nina) Gensler of Petal Mississippi, and Shirley Jane of the home. Two sons James Lee and Roy Edgar preceded him in death. Lee died in a fox hole in New Guinea in 1942.
He also leaves behind a sister, Mrs. Bob (Maryanna) Bowman of Hardesty Oklahoma; four brothers, Cecil of Oildale California, John of El Segundo California, Harold of Cherokee Oklahoma and Orville of Cleo Springs Oklahoma.
He was also preceded in death by his parents (both buried at Roscoe) and a brother Kenneth E in 1907.
