Funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Lou Young, 73, of Enid, is 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6 to 7:30 at the funeral home.
Mary was born Dec. 5, 1943, in Mount Vernon, Ind., to John F. and Loretta (Worthington) Crowe, and passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, in Enid. Mary lived in Indiana and Florida. On Dec. 21, 1961, she married Stanley Young in Shawneetown, Ill. She returned to Enid in 1993, and she worked at the Methodist Home for three years as an LPN until she retired. Mary was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, and loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Teresa Poplin (Paul) of Fairmont and Michael Young (April) of Ringwood; 6 grandchildren Erica, Amanda (Chris), Paul Wade, Trevor, Autumn, and Bryan; 10 great-grandchildren Jasmine, Lillie, Riley, Carson, Carter, Kynslee, Abigail, Silas, Hadley and Eric; and sister Barbara Terrell of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Faron Young; sisters Laura Crowe, Carolyn Harris; and brother John Crowe Jr.
