Donovan "Don" Gerald Wiens was born in Frazer, Montana, on September 6, 1936, to Peter and Hulda Ensz Wiens and passed from this life in Lahoma on August 7, 2021.

In November of 1936 they moved to Oklahoma, living in Drummond, Carrier and settling in Lahoma. Don graduated from Lahoma High School in 1955. He then joined the U.S. Navy, sailing the Pacific. After serving his country, he returned to Lahoma, going to work for Dolese Cement Company.

In 1965 he married Elnora Waldron. Together they raised three sons, a big garden and owned The Corner Bar. Don retired from Dolese Brothers in 2003 after 43 years of service. In March of 2014 Don married JaNet Rowe.

Don is survived by his wife, JaNet Rowe of Lahoma; three sons, Bert and wife Sandra of Lahoma, Michael "Mike" and wife Lea of Richland Hills, Texas, and Lee of Ramah, New Mexico; stepchildren, Earlene Gardner, Dean Rowe and wife Linda, Yolanda Rowe and stepson-in-law, David Wedel; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; stepdaughter, Cyndi Wedel.

Graveside service for Don will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Meno. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., of Helena. Viewing will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.

In lieu of flowers, Don's family requests donations be made to the VFW through the funeral home.
