Pleasant Hill Cemetery


Meno resident, Mrs. Frances Ann Thaxston, 92, died Tuesday, April 18, 1944 in her home and was buried Friday in the Pleasant View Cemetery after funeral services were held in the Meno Christian Church.

Mrs. Thaxston came to Oklahoma from Kansas in 1894 and lived near Hennessey until moving to Meno 20 years ago.

She leaves two sons, Elmer and John Thaxston, of Meno; three daughters, Mrs. C. W. Bittmeyer, Meno; Mrs. Bertha Collins, Laramie, Wyoming, and Mrs. Susie Fox, Fairview; two brothers, John West, Dacoma, Washington, and Willie West, Wichita, Kansas; several grandchildren and great – grandchildren.
