Fred Alexander "F.A." Strange, Jr., 86 year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away July 9, 2016. Born January 10, 1930 in Ringwood, Oklahoma, he was the son of Fred Strange, Sr. and Evelyn (Gordon) Strange.
"F.A." was a longtime employee at Tinker AFB where he worked in Electronics Repair. He loved to be outdoors whenever possible. A member of the Rock Hounds, he loved geology and the study of rocks; camping; gardening; fishing; reading; his pets, especially dogs of all kinds and sizes. "F.A." also loved his OSU Cowboys and was a member of the Nicoma Park American Legion. Above all else he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert Strange.
Survivors include his wife Beverly Strange of the home; 2 sons, Cameron and his wife Kim Strange of Harrah, Oklahoma; and Patrick and his fiance, Sherri Strange of Harrah, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Melissa Strange; Christopher and his wife Angela Strange; Jeffrey and his wife Kat Strange; Greg and his wife Carli Strange; Patrick and his wife Teena Strange; Joseph and his wife Melanie Strange; Amanda Strange and her fiance Brandon Williams; and Breanna Baylee and Grady; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Pleasant View Cemetery, near Meno, Oklahoma with Military Honors rendered by the U. S. Army Honors Detail.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
