Graveside service for Idus Wilburn Redding, 79, of Ringwood, will be 10 a.m. today, Jan. 28, 2011, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno, Okla., with Ronnie Hopkins officiating under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born March 18, 1931, in Wetumka, Okla., to Willie Columbus and Mary Louise Wells Redding and died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, in Ringwood, Okla.
He attended school at Lone Star in Okemah, Okla. He helped on the family farm, hauling hay and driving a truck before moving to Oklahoma City in 1952. After working for an oil field company in Henryetta for two years he moved to Ringwood. He worked as a mechanic for many years.
He married Wyvonne Brumfield Oct. 6, 1951. They were married for 52 years.
He married Carrie Mae Wells in 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Mae of the home; sons, Steven Ray Redding and wife Donna of Ringwood, Rickey Lee Redding and wife Patricia of Ringwood, and Randy Allen Redding and wife Carla of Enid; stepsons, Michael Harrison and wife Diane of Fairview, Terry Harrison and wife Brenda of Goltry, and Berlin Harrison and wife Gina of Fairview; sister, Josephine Henshaw of Sapulpa, Okla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, one brother and one sister.
Memorials may be made in his memory to Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.

Graveside services for Wyvonne Redding were held at 1 pm Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau- Evans Funeral Home.
Wyvonne Broomfield was born August 17, 1936 and passed away on Monday, March 28, 2005 at the age of 68.
She married Idus Redding on October 6, 1951. To this union was born three sons: Steven Ray Redding, Rickey Lee Redding and Randy Allen Redding.
