The graveside service for Robert “Bob” Gee, 80 year-old Enid resident will be Thursday June 21, 2012 at 11:00AM in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Bob was born October 13, 1931 in Ringwood, Oklahoma to Edwin and Berniece (Crites ) Gee and died Friday, June 15, 2012 in Oklahoma City at the V.A. Medical Center with his family by his side.
The family moved to Lahoma where he graduated high school in 1950. He went to work at Firestone and in 1951 was drafted into the Army. Robert spent 19 months in Salzburg, Austria. He went to work for the city of Enid in the meter shop repairing water meters. After over 30 years and at the age of 55 he retired as a supervisor of utility maintenance. Bob married Clara B. Long on June 20, 1953.
He is survived by his wife Clara, of the home, three children; Randy Gee, Arlene Johnson and husband Jimmy and Melinda Gappa and husband David, grandchildren,Tracy Trammell, Derrick Gee, Andrea and hus band Chris Freeman, Ryan Johnson and Eric Johnson. great-grandchildren ,Breanna Trammell,Tracy Trammell Jr., Allee Freeman, and Dridyn Gee all of Enid. Also surviving are Delmer and Anita Gee, Judy Gee, Paul and Wanda Gee, Merle and Norma Gee, Jack and Norma Long, Jerry amd Carolyn Long, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, his sister Wilma and brother Jack.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the V.A. Medical Center.
