Mary Jane HEADRICK COOPER

Pleasant Hill Cemetery

A celebration of the life of Mary Jane Cooper, Oklahoma City, was held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 26th, 2010 at the John Ireland Funeral Home Chapel in Moore, with Shawn Fowler officiating. Graveside services were held at 3:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno, OK. Services were under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home.

Mary Jane Headrick was born November 9, 1945 in Enid to Dale Ross and Minnie (Jantz) Headrick and died following a courageous struggle on Wednesday evening, July 21, 2010.

She was raised in the small town of Meno, Oklahoma, where she lived until the age of 14 when she moved to Holdenville. Mary graduated from Holdenville High School, where she received a sorority award for being the outstanding senior student. She had lived in Moore for many years, worked as a dental hygienist and was a longtime member and bible school teacher at the Central Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her two sons Chris and his wife Amy of Thomasville, GA; and Jeff and his wife Barbara of Oklahoma City; her 5 grandchildren: Andrew, Rachel, Nick, Ryan and Beth; a sister, Susan Sriver of Niles, Michigan; and 1 brother, Dale Headrick of Edmond. She is also survived by her longtime special friends and guardians, Jack and Lawanna Cooper of Oklahoma City.

She will best be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for everyone and her love of beautiful flowers.

Mary will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing she has now received her special place in God's Kingdom.

We would like to thank the nursing staff in the ICU units at Mercy and Select Specialty Hospitals in Oklahoma City for the loving care given to her in time of need.
