Ringwood – BillY Joe Bowman, 59, died Thursday in an Enid hospital. Services are set for 10:30 AM Saturday in the United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Richard Whetsell officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno, under the direction of the Kenny Lanman Funeral Home, Helena.
Bowman was born October 11, 1925 at Foster. He attended school at Pauls Valley. He served during World War I I as a Seamen Second Class in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
In September 1984, he married Linda Hatley.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna, a brother and his father.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; three stepsons, Willis Maddox, Enid, Dennis Maddox, Norman, and Billy Hatley, Goltry; a step – daughter, Carla Greene, Del City; five step – grandchildren; a step great – grandchild; his mother, Mytle Bowman, Lefors, Texas; three sisters, Mary Boatz, Granbury, Texas, Bonnie Young, Lefors, Texas, and Edna Blackburn, Amarillo, Texas, and a brother, John Bowman, Pampa, Texas.
Memorials in his name may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Cancer Fund with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
