A celebration of life for Lavina Mae Beavers ,96, of Ringwood, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday July 10,2007 at Ringwood Baptist Church, with Paster Cody Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday July 9, 2007 at Fairview Funeral Home, Inc., and before the service at the church.
Lavina was born May 11, 1911 in Ringwood, Oklahoma to J.B. and Susie Smith and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, July 7, 2007 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born and raised in the Ringwood area. Lavina married D.B. “Buster” Beavers on March 21, 1931 and they had four children, Earl Dean, Sylvia, Xollia and Delbert.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and was well known for her cooking, sewing and her love for music, teaching herself to play the piano. She was a member of the Ringwood Baptist Church.
Lavina is survived by three children, Sylvia James of Hennessey, Oklahoma, Xollia Broomfield and husband R.J. of Canton, Oklahoma, Delbert Beavers of Sherman Oaks, California; 12 grandchildren, Rodger and Grace Broomfield of Ringwood, Linda Knight of Perkins, Steve and Barbara Mason of Laverne, Pete and Julie Broomfield of Yukon, Julie and Matthew Sorensen of Alhambra, California, Lisa and Kenny Palmer of Meno, Tammy and Danny Torres of Chino Hills , California, Cheryl and Darrel Mushaney of Yukon, Diana and Michael Wichter of Arlington , TX, Matthew Beavers of Sherman Oakes, California, Jodi and Ryan Dobbs of Fairview, and Chris and Andrea Broomfield of Edmond; 28 great grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; one sister Alice Matson and husband Don of Weslaco, TX
She was preceded in death by her husband Buster, son Earl Dean Beavers, great granddaughter Laney Broomfield, brother Elmer Smith and sister Irene Whal.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Russell Murray Hospice of Kingfisher, with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc., acting as custodians of the funds.
