Memorial Services for Melvin R. Cornelsen, 85 of Buhler, Kansas originally of Fairview, will be 2 pm Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Fairview Oklahoma. Rev. James Suderman will officiate. Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

He was born in Orienta, OK on September 19, 1927 to Peter G. and Lydia Harder Cornelsen and died November 29, 2012 at the Buhler Sunshine Home.

He is survived by wife Doris, daughter, Candi Sawatzky of Buhler, son Jim Cornelsen of Wellston, OK, sister, Clara Bowen, 3 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren, and 1 step great great grandchild.

Memorials may be sent to Major County Senior Citizens with the Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
