The funeral for Rudolph Unruh, 82, will be at 10 AM Saturday at Grace Mennonite Church, 902 S. Adams, in Enid. Norman "Shorty" Unruh will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Hopedale Mennonite Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.
He was born October 11, 1916, East of Meno to David B. And Caroline (Ratzlaff) Unruh and died Wednesday, January 27, 1999, at Golden Oaks Nursing Center in Enid. He grew up on a farm near Meno one of five children and attended school at Lahoma and Oklahoma Bible Academy in Meno. On October 10, 1937, he married Martha Sawatzky. He was a farmer, construction worker, and worked at Enid State School in the maintenance department. He was a member of Grace Mennonite Church in Enid.
Surviving are three sons, Gary of Ringwood, Roger of Enid, and Elroy of Meno; three daughters, Karen Turner of Enid, Janel Reim of Drummond and Marlena Unruh of Enid; 14 grandchildren, and 19 great – grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one son, two sisters and two brothers.
Memorials may be made through the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home to Oklahoma Bible Academy.
There will be a visitation Friday at the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

She was born August 6, 1916, southeast of Clinton to Peter P. And Katherina Lettkeman Sawatzky and died Tuesday, January 11, 1994, at her home in Meno. She grew up on a farm in the Clinton area, one of 11 children, and attended school at Bessie. She also attended Oklahoma Bible Academy from 1934 to 1936.
On October 10, 1937, she married Rudolph Unruh near Bessie. She was a homemaker, worked at Enid State School for several years, and was a member of Grace Mennonite Church.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Gary of Ringwood, Roger of Enid and Elroy of Meno; three daughters, Karen Turner of Enid, Jenell Reim of Drummond and Marlena Unruh of Enid; one sister, Linda Schmidt of Clinton; four brothers, Menno P. Sawatzky, Elmer P. Sawatzky and Carl P. Sawatzky, all of Bessie, and Alvin P. Sawatzky of Clinton; 14 grandchildren; and eight great – grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two sisters and three brothers.
