A funeral service for Estileen E. Unruh, 866, of Ringwood, will be at 2 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at the New Hopedale Mennonite Church in Meno, officiated by Pastor Larry Brashear. Burial will follow at New Hopedale Cemetery under the direction of Anderson – Burris Funeral Home.
Estileen was born to Gus and Agnes Janzen Neufeld on November 15, 1933 in Medford, and died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at the Great Plains Care Center in Helena.
She attended school in Medford, and was baptized on October 10, 1948 at the Medford Mennonite Church. On August 5, 1951, she married Leroy Unruh at Medford. They settled on a farm north of Ringwood in 1954. Estileen was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the New Hopedale Mennonite Church, the Ladies Aid Society at the church, and Bass Baptist Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, where she volunteered for over 15 years.
Estileen is survived by her husband, Leroy of the home; three sons, Phil of Ringwood, Russell and wife Debbie and their children, Wesley and Bradley, all of Derby, Kansas, Darrin and his wife Tammy and their children Abigail and Justin, all of Okmulgee; one daughter, Lynette Rodriguez and husband Daniel and their daughter Sarah, all of Edmond; her mother, Agnes Neufeld of Enid; two brothers, Leo Neufeld of Wichita Kansas and Garvin Neufeld of Weatherford; and one sister, Janet Holmes of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gus Neufeld.
Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Cancer Division or Oklahoma Bible Academy.
