Funeral services for Henry H. Unruh, 91, who died Saturday night at St. Mary's hospital, will be at 11 AM Wednesday in New Hopedale Mennonite Church at Meno with the Rev. John W. Voth officiating. Burial will be in the New Hopedale Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
The casket will not be opened following the service.
Memorials may be made to the elevator fund at the New Hopedale Mennonite Church, with the church and funeral home as custodians.
Unruh was born September 1, 1897, on a farm south of Meno. He attended school at Pleasant Valley.
He married Kate Jantz on November 25, 1926, in Carnegie. They established a home south of Meno. He farmed in the Meno area all his life.
He was a member of the New Hopedale Mennonite Church and served on the church Board of Trustees for 27 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, three sisters, and six brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Kathryn) Hiebert, Cleo Springs and Mrs. Wilbert (Dorothy) Wiebe, Whitewater, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 12 great – grandchildren.
