BOY LOSES LIFE

Little Francis Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonah Smith of near Meno , who was badly burned about ten days ago , died Friday at a local hospital. Francis was only five years of age and at the imitative age. He put some coal oil in a pipe and lighted it and was immediately enveloped in flames, quantities of oil having spilled on his clothing. He ran to the pump and pumped water on himself in an effort to put out the fire, but his little body was burned nearly all over and after ten days, in an unequal fight, death came as a relief. Services were held Sunday at Meno.
