May 29, 1943 - November 9, 2024

A Celebration of Life for David M. Crabtree, age 81, of Enid, will be Wednesday, 10:00 AM, November 13, 2024 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Montana Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 6 -7 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the funeral home.

David was born May 29, 1943 in to David Arthur and Judy in Enid, Oklahoma and passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Enid. On February 4, 1964, he married Claudia Jean Jantz. They made their home in Enid where they raised five children; Marland, Jeff, Darren, Mark, and Susan.

David had many passions in life, and music played a huge role, he played with the same group of guys from his teenage years too late in his life. Even though the music they played changed with the times, his true passion remained the late 50's and early 60's rock that he grew up with.

Another passion of his was spending summers at Lake Tenkiller camping, boating, riding motorcycles, and listening to classic rock.

One of his greatest enjoyments in life was spending time with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dave especially enjoyed family reunions at the lake, and having everyone home for the holidays.

David is survived four children, Marland and wife Yvonne, of Oklahoma City; Jeff and wife Pat, of Katy, TX; Darren Crabtree of Enid; and Mark and wife Ricki Crabtree, of Enid; sixteen beloved grandchildren; Andrew Aguirre, Austin Tyler Crabtree and Lexi LeCates; Austin Blake Crabtree, Alexandra Schulz and Madison Crabtree; Hayden Crabtree, Aubryauna Bennett, Darien Vasquez and Elizabeth Hunt; Brittan and Skylar Crabtree; Malachi, Hannah, Makayla, and Isaac Lyons. He also leaves eleven cherished great-grandchildren, Mason Crabtree, Clayton Crabtree-Lopez, Adelynn Crabtree, Everly Crabtree, Benjamin Crabtree, Xayden Bennett, Wynona Vasquez, Marceline Vasquez, Valkyrie LeCates, Atticus LeCates, and Aubrie Crabtree. He is preceded in death by his wife Claudia; his parents, David Arthur, and Judy (Kelly) Crabtree, and a daughter, Susan Renee Lyons.

Memorial contributions in David's name may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation to the Cancer or Alzheimer's Research Divisions with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
