Lone Star Cemetery


A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for John Douglas “JD” Bergner, 47, of Oklahoma City and formerly of Kremlin will be Wednesday, June 10, 2015, 2:30 PM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Lone Star Cemetery west of Fairview, OK.

J. D. was born March 29, 1968 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Robert and Vickie Long Bergner and passed away June 6, 2015. He attended Buffalo Schools through seventh grade and graduated from Kremlin-Hillsdale High School in 1986. He attended Central State University and Platte College and graduated with a degree in Graphic Design. J.D. then attended Oklahoma City Community College where he was pursuing a degree in Literature and Theatre. He was united in marriage to Ann Pfieffer May 3, 1997 in Yukon, OK. He was employed by CPD-Tech-Pac for seventeen years as a graphic designer and later employed by Fast Signs of Oklahoma City, OK. He was a member of Victory Church and the United Methodist Church of Buffalo, OK, a Cubmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, was on the board of directors of the Stage Door Theatre in Yukon, OK, acted in numerous plays around Oklahoma City and his proudest accomplishments were being a father, directing The Little Shop of Horrors for El Reno Community Theatre and starring as Vince in Grease. He will be remembered as a wonderful son, a loving father and brother-cousin. J.D. enjoyed drawing and was a great Star Wars fan and collector of comic books.

Survivors include three sons, Trower Jefferies and his wife Jessica, Eric and Andrew Bergner, all of Oklahoma City, OK, his parents, Robert and Vickie Bergner of Kremlin, OK, a sister Trilby Schmidt and her husband Daniel of Enid, OK, three grandchildren, Madison, David and Trower Jr., his former wife, Ann Bergner, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, aunts and uncles.
