Funeral Services for Orlis Lyle Reames, 67, will be 10:30 a.m., March 5, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Fairview. Burial will follow at the Isabella Cemetery. Reverend Rich Redinger will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Orlis Lyle Reames was born February 28, 1944, in Okeene to Ora and Sylvia (Hodge) Reames and passed away March 2, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma.

Orlis grew up on a farm South of Isabella. He attended school in Fairview, graduating from Fairview High School. When he was 15 he lost his father to an illness and started working and taking care of the farm while attending school. After graduation he continued working on the family farm. In 1971 he married Sarah Brown in Geary, Oklahoma. Orlis and Sarah opened the Isabella Farm and Ranch Supply in 1973 until they closed in 1988. He then started working in law enforcement in Blaine County. Orlis then went to work for the city of Fairview as a Police Officer. In 1988 Orlis received Oklahoma Reserve Police Officer of the Year. Orlis also received the Commendation Award for Valor in 1991 after saving a little boy’s life. After leaving the Police Department he started working for the Major County Sheriff’s Department until 2008 when he retired. Although he was retired, he still would go in and help out when needed at the Sheriff’s Department.

Orlis loved to fish and spent a lot of time fishing in the last two years. He also loved to go to Vegas. One thing about Orlis was he worked hard all of his life, was a great husband, father and grandfather and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Reames of the home; two sons, Bret Reames and wife Becky of Chester and Darin Reames and wife Jinni of Okmulgee; 9 grandchildren Braden, Sydney, Mallory, Caden, Bobby, Dalton, Lacey, Clint, and Jessi; one great grandchild, Izabella.

Orlis was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services for Sarah Sue Reames, 73, will be 1:30 p.m., August 7, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Fairview. Burial will follow at the Isabella Cemetery. Reverends Dan Weaver and Andrew Haire will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Sarah Sue Reames was born July 12, 1944, in Geary to George and Macel (Shawver) Brown and passed away August 2, 2017 at her home in Isabella, Oklahoma.

Sarah grew up on a farm south of Geary where she attended Geary Schools. She graduated from Geary High School in 1962. After graduation, she attended college at Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford where she received her master’s degree in elementary education. Her teaching career began at Fairview Elementary. While in Fairview she met the love of her life. In 1971 she married Orlis Reames in Geary. To this union two boys, Bret and Darin, were born. Sarah’s teaching career consisted of teaching at Fairview, Progressive, Ames and Cimarron Public Schools, from which she retired. Also during this time she raised her family and helped Orlis with the family Farm and Ranch Supply business. After retirement, Sarah continued to be an avid fan of the Cimarron basketball team. She was a member of the Cimarron retired teachers and Major County retired teachers association. Sarah kept in close contact with several ladies she graduated from high school with. They were known as the “Golden Girls” and she always enjoyed meeting them for a get together. Anyone who knew Sarah, knew her favorite team was OU, with the OKC Thunder next. Sarah enjoyed spending time with her family and hearing the squeals and laughter of all her kids and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time at her cabin at Buncombe Creek at Lake Texhoma.

She is survived by two sons, Bret Reames and wife Becky of Chester and Darin Reames and wife Jinni of Isabella; 9 grandchildren Braden, Sydney, Mallory, Caden, Bobby, Dalton, Lacey, Clint, and Jessi; and four great grandchildren.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Orlis, and her parents.
