Buel Wayne Pearson, born May 12, 1925 in Blaine County, Oklahoma, to Edgar Worth Pearson and Lucy May Posey Pearson, died on October 24, 2019 in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Despite only having a formal education to the 8th grade, Buel was an avid lifetime learner and hard worker. He worked several jobs before being drafted into the U.S. Navy for the service of our country in 1942. Upon his discharge in 1946, he married Betty Ruth Wahl. Their union blessed them with four children: George Melborne, Betty Marie, Bessie Lucille, and Billy Merl.

Buel and his family moved to Wichita, Kansas where Buel was employed by the city driving a bus. He was also employed by Nationwide Trailers driving semi-trucks. Upon returning to Oklahoma in 1957, he was employed by Rueben Bierig where he enhanced his welding skills obtained in the Navy. This skill brought him the opportunity of working for Waldon's in Fairview. Working in the engineering department, he assisted in the development of a front-end loader and many other large machinery implements.

After fulfilling his calling at Waldon's, he operated his own business, Pearson's Repairs. During his time, he shared his skills with the local community in constructing the beautiful steel pipe fencing surrounding the Isabella Cemetery to this day, where he and his wife of 54 years will finally be reunited on Nov. 5th. He worked for Wright Cattle Company twenty plus years, retiring at the age of 90 years.

Buel was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his son, George; his parents, Worth and Lucy; sister, Margie Allen; brother, Clarence; granddaughter, Gena Haffner; nephew, Rusty.
