Eula Mae King was born March 31, 1912 on a farm East of Fairview to Joe and Anna (Nightengale) Ethridge and passed away June 13, 2010 at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Eula was born with her twin sister, Jula, and grew up on the family farm that was homesteaded by her grandfather during the land run of 1889. She attended school at Elm Grove School through eighth grade. After she completed school, she continued to live on the family farm and dairy, milking cows and helping with various farm chores. Eula met J.W. King in 1933 and in December of that year on the 23rd they were wed. Eula and J.W traveled throughout the state of Oklahoma with J.W.’s highway construction job. During the winter months they maintained a home in Fairview, Oklahoma. J.W. and Eula were blessed with four children including their son, J.W. King Jr. and three daughters Shirley, JoAnn and Sue. J.W. passed away at the young age of 58. Eula remained in their home in Fairview with her daughter Shirley until they both moved to the Fairview Fellowship Home in their later years.

Eula was a kind and giving Christian woman who always helped others. She was always very active in church, loved growing beautiful flowers and loved to crochet. She made many beautiful items over the years and was always sharing those items with her family and friends. Eula was loved by her family and everyone she met, and will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Eula is survived by her three daughters, Shirley King of Fairview, JoAnn Otwell and her husband Russell also of Fairview, and Sue Wade and her husband Mike of Waxahachie, Texas; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren.

Eula was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.W. King; son, J.W. King Jr.; three sisters, Jula, Edith, and Myrtle; two brothers, Joe Jr. and Martin; and one grandson, Billy Otwell.
