Funeral service for Randall “Randy” Newman, 50, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Faith Center Fellowship in Meno with Rev. Terrell Parvin officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanman memorials.com. Viewing is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home.
Randy was born April 12, 1961, in Salina, Kan., to Vernon Newman and Shirley Wiggins and passed from this life Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at his home in Ringwood. Randy graduated from Chisholm High School. He married Wanda Spomer in Enid. They made their home in Copan for a short period of time and then moved to Ringwood. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Ringwood. Randy worked for Atlas Pipeline as a senior measurement and SCADA technician. Randy was an avid OU football fan and loved to hunt and golf.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Wanda; daughter, Jamie Skaggs and husband Justin; son, Ryan Chappell; grandchildren, Jackson and Jenna Skaggs and Laykin Chappell; his parents, Vernon Newman and wife Bonnie, and Shirley Farmer and husband James; brothers and sisters, Tom Newman and wife Molly, Melinda Koehn and husband Michael, Greg Newman, Stewart King and wife Martha, Heath Farmer, Becky Bennett and husband Jerry, Teri Hicks and husband Phil; mother-in-law, Vera Marlatt; grandmothers, Frances Wiggins and Vernice Farmer.
Randy was preceded in death by grandparents, Floyd and Hazel Newman, Cecil Wiggins and Tom Farmer; brother, Steve King and son Jamie Chappell.
Memorials may be given to Ringwood United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
