Mass of Christian burial for Josephine Henrietta Little, 89, of Enid, will be noon Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Kevin Ratterman officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Ringwood, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born May 9, 1921, in Fairview to Charles Victor and Mabel Fry Sparks and died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at her home. She lived in Fairview until the 5th grade, when the family moved to Ringwood. She graduated from Ringwood High School with the class of 1939. She married Albert Seidl July 22, 1939. To this union, five children were born. She married Terence Joseph Little June 13, 1959, in Enid. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Terry, of the home; three daughters, Sandra Sampson of Quinlan, Texas, Brenda Sulzen of Casper, Wyo., and Deborah Spradlin of Grand Prairie, Texas; one son, Pete Seidl of Lancaster, Calif.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Helen Wilcox of Enid; and one brother, Sam Sparks of Raymore, Mo.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Pennington; one grandson, Jeff Pennington; brothers, Eldred and Glen Sparks; sisters, Cleo Peck, Nila Marlatt, Ivan Nell Jordan and Margaret Travis.

Memorials in her memory may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Mass of Christian burial for Terry Little, 92, of Enid, will be noon Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Kevin Ratterman officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Ringwood, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Vance Air Force Base Silver Talon Honor Guard.

He was born March 9, 1918, in Barnum, Minn., to Emmet J. and Frances Spencer Little and died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He was raised and educated in Flint, Mich., graduating from Grand Blanc High School with the class of 1936. He attended Embry Riddle College. In December 1939 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served during World War II, retiring as chief warrant officer in October 1960. He moved to Enid in 1955, where he was stationed at Vance Air Force Base. On June 13, 1959, he married Josephine Sparks in Enid. After retirement, he worked for ServAir in Enid for six years, then moved to Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas, where he worked for four years. He then worked at Ft. Sill and for three years, from 1973 to 1977, he worked for ServAir at NASA. He then moved to Enid in 1977 and at the time of his retirement in 1985, he was general manager of Northrop at Vance Air Force Base.

His wife preceded him in death Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Rotary Club of Enid, Air Force Association, where he served as local and state president in the early 1980s.

He is survived by three stepdaughters, Sandra Sampson of Quinlan, Texas, Brenda Sulzen of Casper, Wyo., and Deborah Spradlin of Texas; one stepson, Pete Seidl of Lancaster, Calif.; seven stepgrandsons; two stepgranddaughters; sisters, Eileen Dalton of Weberville, Mich., Joyce Erickson of Davison, Mich., Joan Dietch of Rochester, Mich.; brothers, Roger Little of Wilmette, Ill., and John Little of Lancaster, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, stepdaughter, Sharon Pennington, stepgrandson, two brothers and one sister. -
