RINGWOOD — Milo was born in rural Ringwood on March 1, 1940, to Johnnie Jantzen and Mildred Smith Jantzen and passed from this life on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, in Fairview. He attended country school and then graduated from Ringwood High School in 1958. On Sept. 16, 1961, Milo married Bertha Weeks. To this union, three children were born, Ronda, Greg and Peggy.

Milo was a gas and measurement technician with the oil and gas industry, retiring in 2005. While working in the oil and gas industry, Milo also put his hand to farming in the Ringwood area. He was a real cowboy at heart, loving horses, bird dogs and cattle. Most of all, he loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha of Ringwood; his children, Ronda Mueller and husband Tim, Greg Jantzen and wife Cheryl, and Peggy Patton and husband Terry; eight grandchildren, Lianna and Andrew Mueller, Brooklynn and Bailey Patton and Jacey and Jade Jantzen; two stepgrandchildren, Ty and Tracy Gardner; four great-grandchildren, Kyler, Kali, Kaleigh and Taylor; brothers, George Jantzen and wife Betty, Vernie Jantzen and wife Patty and Earnie Jantzen and wife Sharon; sisters, Madlyne and Don Johnson and Mona Jankey and husband David; and many nieces and nephews.

Those who preceded Milo in death include his parents; two brothers, Cecil and Leo; infant sister, Leota; and his grandparents.

Funeral service for Milo Jantzen, 73, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Faith Center Fellowship in Meno, with Pastor Steve Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, south of Ringwood, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, with the family present from 5-7 p.m. (www.lanman memorials.com)
