Ringwood – The funeral for W. A. "Bill" Gauley, 86, will be at 10 AM Wednesday at the Ringwood Presbyterian Church, with the Reverends Charles Booker – Hirsch and Lyle Buller officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery south of Ringwood, under direction of Kenny Lanman Funeral Home, Helena.
He was born January 10, 1909, on a farm south of Ringwood to Harve and Vista Gauley and died Sunday, September 3, 1995. He was he was the first of five children. He graduated from Ringwood High School in 1929 and attended Oklahoma A & M College. He married Ruby Hansard of Stillwater and they had four children. He married Stella Ottinger in 1967. She preceded him in death in 1994. They were both residents of the Fairview Fellowship Home, entering the home in 1991. A son, James Paul, was killed in Laos (Via Nam Conflict) on January 10, 1967. He worked as a farmer and trucker for most of his life. He was a lifelong resident of Ringwood.
He is survived by two sons, William Fred of Denver, Colorado and Dwight "Ike" of Ringwood, one daughter, Patricia Murphy of Ardmore; 10 grandchildren and nine great – grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Ringwood Presbyterian Church with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
