Rebecca Stewart
January 12, 1955 - May 30, 2024

Rebecca Vista Stewart, 69, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 30, 2024, at her home in Ringwood, Oklahoma, surrounded by family and friends, following a brief battle with cancer.

Rebecca was born on January 12, 1955, to Roy E. Stewart and Mary I. Gauley Stewart in Enid. She grew up on the family farm in Ringwood and lived there most of her life. Rebecca attended college at McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry. Rebecca worked for 35 years for the Eitzen Agency, Inc. in Fairview. A devoted Christian, she was raised in the Ringwood Presbyterian Church. Rebecca was an active member of New Beginnings Wesleyan Fellowship, where she enjoyed working with children.

Rebecca was known for her staunch faith in Christ, her intense loyalty to family and friends, and her passion for raising horses and teaching children to ride them. She loved westerns, mysteries, and Star Trek. Rebecca was also a skilled artisan. She made many quilts—much to the delight of her nieces and nephews—along with other crafts.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mary; three sisters, Ruth Wirtz, Millie Stewart, and Betty Jo Stewart, and two nephews, Mark and C.J. Stewart.

Survivors of Rebecca include her sister, Alice Jane Stewart; brother, Mark Stewart and wife, Sherry, all of Ringwood; brother-in-law, George Wirtz of Fort Worth, Texas, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. in Helena, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, June 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Wesleyan Fellowship in Ringwood.
