Forrest Cemetery


ENID — Graveside celebration of life service for Ruby Loomis , formerly of Cleo Springs, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, in Forrest Cemetery, west and south of Ringwood. Rev. Dr. Daniel Loomis , Ruby's son, will lead the service. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena.

Ruby was born July 29, 1922, to William Franklin Keesee and Maude Suggs Keesee in Abilene, Texas, and passed from this life Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, in Enid.

On Dec. 4, 1938, she and Robert Loomis were united in marriage in Chattanooga, Okla. She lived in this area for 57 years.

Ruby was a member of 14th Street Church of Christ in Enid.

Ruby's whole life revolved around her family. She helped raise her siblings and she lovingly raised her children and grandchildren. She was an all-around mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Loomis ; two sons, Robert Bruce Loomis and Mark Franklin Loomis ; her parents, William Franklin and Maude Keesee; four brothers, Alan, Troy, Valner and Merle Keesee.

She is survived by five children, Pat Warfield of Enid, Steve Loomis and wife Billie of Enid, Dan Loomis and wife Carol of Eldorado, Ark., Jeanne Fielder and husband Danny of Ames, Dwight Loomis and wife Tena of Enid; one brother, Jimmy Keesee of Tulsa; one sister; Mary Hensen of Columbus, Ga.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, Oct. 21, 2011, at the funeral home in Helena, with the family present from 4-6 p.m.

Memorials may be made to 14th Street Church of Christ through the funeral home.
