Graveside funeral service for Roger “Mike “Witte will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2014 at Fern Cliff Cemetery west of Fairview.
Roger “Mike” Witte was born November 18, 1948 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Fred C and Molly Ann (Johnson) Witte and passed away December 26, 2014 at his home.
Mike grew up in the Fairview area and attended school there. He was drafted into the United States Army serving his country in Vietnam. He received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart after being wounded in action. Mike was honorably discharged in 1969.
Following his return home from war Mike went to work in the oilfield as a roughneck and driller where he retired when his health forced him to retire.
Mike was a lifetime member of the VFW.
He is survived by his children; Gloria Two Babies, Susan Witte, Roger Mike Witte Jr., Garylynn Witte, Freddie Allen Witte, Rhonda Witte, step-son Jacob and twenty-six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, wives and one grandson.
