Graveside services for Shirley May Denton, 64, of Canton, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2025 at Fern Cliff Cemetery west of Fairview with Keith Robinett and Pastor Glen Blood officiating.

Shirley was born June 8, 1961 at Fairview, Oklahoma to Charlie Lloyd and Dorothy Jean (Anglin) Woods. She departed this life on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Okeene, Oklahoma.

Shirley attended school at Seiling, Oklahoma. She enjoyed embroidery, riding horses in her younger years, and time spent with her family. She married Robert Doyle Denton on April 6, 1979 at Midway Church west of Fairview.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; brother Charlie Roy Woods; nieces Katrina Woods and Melissa Haworth; nephew Kenneth Woods, Jr; great-niece Whitney Denton; great-nephew Kingston Abercrombie.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Denton; daughter Misty Colvard and grandsons Ryan Colvard, Presten Colvard and Braxten Colvard of Canton, son Bobby Denton of Canton, OK; grandchildren Roxy Linder, Lane Denton, Zoe Denton, Colt Denton of Canton; brothers Edward and wife Barbara Collins of Mangum, OK, Clifford Woods of Canton, OK, Kevin and Tina Woods of Canton, OK, Kenneth Woods of Longdale, OK and Terry and Pat Woods of Longdale, OK; sister Sharon and husband Rick Chaoomchaisiri of OKC, OK.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
