January 12, 1919 - August 22, 1985
Fairview – Aud Roberts, 66, died Thursday, August 22, 1985. Services will be at 2 PM Monday in the Fairview Funeral Home. The Rev. Chuck McKinney will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
Roberts was born on January 12, 1919, at Grove to Ed and Grace Hawkins Roberts. He and Mary Dautrich were married at Bayonne, New Jersey, on February 18, 1944. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a self-employed dirt contractor. He lived in Blackwell for 28 years and moved to Fairview in 1985.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Blackwell and was an honorary member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Beverly) Kahn and Diane Jones, both of Fairview; his mother, Grace Roberts, Grove; a brother, Hollan Roberts, Grove; a sister, Mona Tinsley, Grove; five grandchildren and a great – grandchild.
Memorials in his name may be made to Oklahoma Research Diabetes Division with the funeral home acting as custodian.
