The funeral for Shila Beryl Odell Reeves, 68, of Fairview, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fairview Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Chuck McKinney will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
She was born Jan. 16, 1938, south of Cestos in Dewey County to Alvin and Mary McDaniel Odell and died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at St.Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She attended Richmond School and was class valedictorian in 1956. She married Lytle Bradford “Judge” Reeves. They owned and operated the Conoco cafe and station in Seiling in the 1960s. They moved to Fairview in the 1970s. She retired from Fairview Police Department.
Surviving are two sons, Kendall Reeves of Wupperal, Germany, and Kerry Reeves of Kerrville,Texas; three daughters, Kimberli Mongold of Tyler,Texas, Kris Smith of Maggie Valley, N.C., and Kelly Reeves of Tyler; a brother, Lyndon “Bud” Odell of Newport, Wash., a sister, Myrna Fuqua of Seiling; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to National Kidney Foundation.
