Graveside services for Thelma Irene Parkins Age 98 will be at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Fairview Cemetery west of Fairview. Pastor Dennis King will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
Thelma was born Feb. 7, 1921 a few miles south of Fairview, to Henry Thomas Howerton and Ida Carter Howerton. She peacefully passed away January 19, 2020 at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma.
She attended Mountain View and Longdale Schools. She worked at Buchanan Nursing Home in Okeene for 18 years, making many friends. She enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash, Buck Owens and spending time with her pets, Bowser and Bubba.
Thelma is survived by five sons and one daughter, Bill Keeton and wife Joan of Fairview, Shirley Walcott of Amarillo, Texas, daughter-in-law Connie Keeton of Edmond Oklahoma, Terry Keeton and wife Kathy of Augusta Kansas, Brad Keeton of Perry, Oklahoma, CL Parkins and wife Laurie of Antlers, Oklahoma, Steve Parkins of Oklahoma; sister Laverna M. Howerton of Enid, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Debbie, Tina, Gina, Dina, Brian, Michelle, Nikki, Stevie, Chris, Janice, Malarie, Austen, Micah and Treena; numerous Great and Great Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers, son Buster Keeton, and son-in-law Bud Walcott.
