Fairview Cemetery

May 11, 1925 - October 15, 2018

Verna Ann Kehn was born May 11, 1925 in Slater, Wyoming to Gustave and Elise Regier and passed away peacefully on October 15, 2018 in Fairview, Oklahoma.

At age 10, Ann’s family moved to Whitewater, Kansas and her parents farmed the land. She graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy in Meno, Oklahoma. Soon after, she met Victor Kehn and they were married a short time later. They moved to Fairview where Vicki, Darla and Pam were born and raised.

Ann was involved in all the activities of her children, including chaperoning band trips, church camps, 4-H and FHA events. She cooked for the youth after football and basketball games. While serving on the hospitality committee at the First Baptist Church, she made sure that every grieving family’s meal was special.

She was one of the founding members of the Fairview Gamma Mothers Club where she served in every office. In 1998, she was elected president of the Oklahoma State Mothers Club.

Ann enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Fairview women’s golf association. She and Vic volunteered at the Senior and U.S. Open when held in Oklahoma. They traveled to Scotland to witness the British open at St. Andrews Field.

She loved to travel and dragged Victor along to Hawaii, Australia, England, Scotland and Colombia. She was happy to join Vicki, Darla and Pam on trips to England and France.

An accomplished seamstress, she sewed everything from Easter and Christmas dresses to formals, twirling outfits to wool blazers worn by the 1967 Girls’ State Basketball Champions.

Her family was lucky to experience her strength of character, her tenacity and love. Ann is joining loved ones in heaven. Her husband Victor, parents Gustave and Elise Regier, sisters, Elma and Viola, brother, Elmer and son-in-law, Robert Cornett. Survivors include: her children - Vicki and Garen Ewbank, Darla Kehn and Pam Cornett.
